FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I don't place a hard cap on the number of images you will receive. If it's a beautiful, meaningful photo, you're getting it. My goal is to deliver a full gallery that tells the complete story of your session, not to limit moments by a number.

How should we dress for our family session?

Colors in a soft, neutral or pastel tones photograph best for family sessions. These hues create a light, timeless look and allow your family's connection to take center stage. I recommend avoiding black, very dark colors, bold patterns, and logos, as they can feel heavy or distracting in photos. Coordinated-not matching- outfits tend to photograph beautifully.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

The best time for a newborn session is whenever it feels right for your family. Many families choose to schedule their session within the first few weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and snuggly, but beautiful images can be made at any stage. I am always happy to work around feeding, schedules, naps, and your recovery to make the experience as relaxed as possible.

What is the best time for our family session?

Golden hour is ideal for family sessions, offering soft, even light and warm tones that photograph beautifully. Midday sun tends to be harsh and unflattering, so I typically avoid noon sessions when possible. I am always happy to guide you toward the best timing based on the season, location and your family's schedule.

What if the forecast calls for rain?

I keep a close eye on the forecast in the days leading up to your session. If rain is likely, we'll touch base and make a plan together. Light, scattered showers sometimes pass quickly, but if the weather isn't cooperating or would affect the quality of your images, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date at no additional cost.
